Bar & bat mitzvah

From the Torah reading to the last dance

A bar or bat mitzvah at Gavriel: a ceremony in a space designed for it, a meal from the chef's kitchen, and a party in a venue designed in the style you have chosen.

The ceremony

A Torah reading in a space designed for it

The Torah reading is the heart of the day, so it is given a place of its own: a space designed especially for the ceremony, intimate in atmosphere, with a team on hand throughout to look after the details. You can give your full attention to the moment itself.

When the ceremony and the celebration are held in the same place, the whole day runs as one, with no travelling in between.

Venues and design

Three venues, and a design of your own

The Hangar is a tall indoor space: 1,400 sq m beneath an 11-metre ceiling. In the Shulhan, guests are hosted around open kitchens, a garden and ornamental pools. The Bustan is 2,800 sq m in the open air around a pool. A bar or bat mitzvah can take place in one of them, or move between them over the course of the day.

The venues are equipped with lighting and sound systems, and the design is created anew for every event. Gavriel hosts events from 250 guests, and bar and bat mitzvahs are no exception.

A real event

A bar mitzvah held here

In February 2026 Eran and Shay Zahavi celebrated their son's bar mitzvah at Gavriel. According to press coverage, the event lasted a full day and took in all three venues, with a Torah reading in a synagogue set up on site and a party.

Cuisine

Restaurant cooking, at a family celebration

Gavriel's kitchen is led by Chef David (Dudu) Elmakayes. His cooking is Mediterranean, and the dishes are prepared on site from fresh produce. The menu changes with the seasons, and the menu for your event is composed together with him.
